Panama Don Pachi Geisha. Best of Panama Award winner.
Geisha is an extremely rare coffee. It was brought to South America from the town of Gesha in Southwest Ethiopia. The trees yield a small amount compared to other varietals and to get the highest quality they must be grown in the cool high altitude air over a long growing season. This tall elegant tree produces a coffee that is renowned for it's superior sparking flavor of melon, citrus, mango and fig.
Mr. Francisco Serracin in Boquete Panama is a coffee farmer extraordinaire. He grows and processes the Don Pachi Geisha. In Panama there are two famous Geisha coffees. The Esmarelda Special and the Don Pachi. These two farms consistently produce some of the most sought after coffees in the world. Don Pachi Geisha 2011/2012 crop won the Best of Panama Award. This award winning coffee is so different, I often think, "This doesn't taste like coffee!" It is fun to taste the best!
